Ukrainian-Greek program "Master of Business Administration" (UGPMBA)
In 2004-2007, WUNU with the participation of the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia (project coordinator) successfully implemented the Tempus project CD-JEP-24244-2003 "European standards in the training of economists in international tourism". In view of the implementation of the principles of the Bologna process and in order to continue cooperation with the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia (from 2019 - the University of Western Macedonia), an agreement was concluded on the joint training of masters in business administration in Greece, starting from the 2008/2009 academic year on the basis University of Western Macedonia under a program accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian-Greek program "Master of Business Administration" (UGPMBA) operates at the Institute of International Relations named after B. D. Havrylyshyn of the West Ukrainian National University. Within the framework of the program, joint training of specialists is carried out under the MBA program with the University of Western Macedonia. Students are educated at the University of Western Macedonia. According to the Memorandum of Understanding between WUNU and UWM, the educational process is carried out according to the curricula and programs of WUNU with the involvement of teaching staff from the Ukrainian and Greek sides, while the Greek side provides access to students and teaching staff of the program to the necessary educational materials, computer and other equipment, means of communication and allocates office space.
The program is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Science and Religions of Greece, which determines the recognition of the WUNU diploma in Greece and the countries of the European Union. Graduate departments are the Department of International Economics of WUNU and the Department of International and European Economic Studies (Kosani), University of Western Macedonia. The educational process is carried out in English by teachers of WUNU and UWM. The program operates under the conditions of minimum enrollment - 25 students, maximum enrollment - 40 students. The duration of the master's program is calculated for 2 academic years. At the same time, the total duration of the program should not exceed 3 years, as students have the right to postpone their studies for a maximum of 1 year.
The implementation of the program is aimed at WUNU's entry into the European market of educational services, recognition of the Ukrainian diploma in developed European countries, improvement of WUNU's image among employers in Greece, and through them in the entire European Union, stimulation of qualification growth of WUNU teaching staff and increasing its competitiveness.
1. Memorandum of agreement between WUNU (formerly TNEU) and Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia. Signed on June 27, 2007. According to the terms of this contract, the recruitment of students for the master's degree was carried out in 2008-2009.
