Department of Legal Theory and Constitutionalism
The staff of the Department of Legal Theory and Constitutionalism of WUNU trains specialists in the following educational programs:
- Law;
- International Law;
- Law Enforcement.
During their studies, in addition to general disciplines, students study the following professional disciplines: Constitutional law of Ukraine; Comparative constitutional law; Current issues of constitutional law and process; Theory of state and law; History of state and law of foreign countries and Roman law; History of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine; Legal deontology and professional ethics; Police deontology; Philosophy of law; Legal institutions of Ukraine; Public speaking; Logic for lawyers; Diplomatic and consular protection; Migration processes in international relations; International migration law; International security law; Information technologies of modelling and forecasting in international management; Modelling and forecasting of global processes and decision-making; Quantitative methods in international relations; Ethical standards of the law profession; Information technologies of modelling and forecasting in international management, etc.
After graduating from the Department of Legal Theory and Constitutionalism, graduates can hold positions in: public authorities and local governments, courts; prosecutor's office; police; bodies of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine; advocacy; notary; legal services of enterprises, institutions, organizations.
The Department of Legal Theory and Constitutionalism actively cooperates with the following institutions and organizations: city and regional prosecutor's offices, bar, notary, judicial system, executive service, local governments, etc., where students have the opportunity to gain practical experience, participate in internships, to apply for jobs.
The Department of Legal Theory and Constitutionalism implements international cooperation with foreign partners: University of Warmia and Mazury (Poland); John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (Poland), Jagiellonian University (Poland), University of Osnabrück (Germany).
