International Scientific Conference "Protection of children's rights in the context of the UN's Convention: pedagogical, psychological, legal and information dimensions"
On November 23, the first International Scientific Conference "Protection of Children's Rights in the Context of the UN Convention: Pedagogical, Psychological, Legal and Information Dimensions" was held at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Classical University of Ternopil.
Co-organizers of the event: Department of Education and Science of Ternopil Regional State Administration, University of Warmia and Mazury (Branch in Elk, Poland) and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (Georgia).
The theme of the conference was chosen because every year World Children's Day is celebrated on the anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child on November 20. Thirty years ago, world leaders made a historic commitment to children around the world by adopting the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, an international treaty on childhood.
Distinguished statesmen, scientists and practitioners from Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Georgia and Italy addressed the conference participants with welcoming words. Among them: Bogusława Orzechowska (Senator of Poland), Oksana Desyatnyuk (WUNU Vice-Rector for Research and Academic Afffairs), Olha Khoma (Head of Department of Education and Science of Ternopil RSA), Oksana Homotiuk (acting Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities), Jacek Mrozek (Director of Branch in Elk of University of Warmia and Mazury), and other representatives of foreign and domestic institutions.
In total, scientists from 20 universities joined the scientific and intellectual elite of the conference, including:
