Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the Classical University of Ternopil
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Ukraine Alisher Kurmanov visited the Classical University of Ternopil.
"Today we came to the very center of Western Ukraine to discuss how we can strengthen our relations and develop cooperation. I am glad to see students from my country at this university. This is fantastic. We will work on student exchanges and cultural communication," said the Ambassador in his welcoming speech.
Rector of WUNU Andriy Krysovatyy addressed the audience, saying “The arrival of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan is a wonderful event that gives us the opportunity to discover the Republic of Uzbekistan. I think that after Mr. Ambassador's visit to West Ukrainian National University, we will have the chance to promote Ukraine more and invite young people from Uzbekistan to our university. Today's meeting is an example for our two states, we need to work together to reach new heights. I appeal to you, young people, get to know the world, expand your horizons, start and implement new projects."
To commemorate the event, the honored guests planted a tree. The rector of West Ukrainian National University gave the guests a tour of the higher education institution and invited the delegation to talk to the teaching staff. During the meeting, the possibilities of implementing international educational exchange programs, internships and research were discussed.
