Rector Andriy Krysovatyy addressed the young men and women: “The best young people of Ukraine have been coming to us to gain their dream profession, realize their ambitious plans and dreams, find friends and fall in love, taste student drive for fifty-five years in a row. As of today, you are the hosts of West Ukrainian National University, and this is a constant. Being young is happiness, and at the same time, a great responsibility, because you are the first to feel the rapid rhythm, new challenges and demands of modern life. You are progressive and creative, you dream of a successful career, you strive for recognition and you have unquenchable enthusiasm and strength to put everything into practice. Remember, learning is not time, learning is effort. Your mind must realize that no one will give you the truth, you have to get it with hard intellectual work. Teachers are only wise leaders in this unpredictable, fast-changing, information-rich world.

I greet you, whose life is closely intertwined with the fate of our university, with all the warmth of my heart on this day. Let the new academic year inspire teachers with the success of students, inspire students, fill parents with pride for their children.

I wish the student years to be bright and unforgettable, and the classical university of Ternopil to take a special place in your heart!”

Special words of congratulations were addressed by: Volodymyr Trush, Serhiy Nadal, Mykhailo Holovko, who wished to grow and improve, reach new heights and confidently step towards dreams.

Ternopil Mayor Serhiy Nadal thanked Rector Andriy Krysovatyy for his active participation in the implementation of state and local socio-economic development projects and assistance in establishing the highest State Flag of Ukraine in  Ternopil region.

The Classical University of Ternopil does not forget to return to its origins, the original sources of classical education, so the holiday was visited by a "guest from the past" - the Sage of Gray Antiquity. The first to learn the "code of success" were freshmen who entered the university with the highest scores of external independent evaluation: Anastasia Vasilevska, Arsen Romaniv, Valentina Sapsay and Khrystyna Sokolyk. They voiced the credo of life: "Not going forward means going back!"

The clergy blessed the participants with sincere prayer and wishes for good luck and initiative. The holiday of knowledge was filled with warmth and joy, because the new academic year has begun. The audience was greeted with musical compositions: WUNU graduate Pavlo Tyutyunnyk and soloists of the song theater "For you".

Congratulations and be proud that you, dear freshmen, have become part of a friendly and close-knit family of West Ukrainian National University. Let your dreams come true here!
