Student debate at WUNU
As part of the celebration of the All-Ukrainian Week of Financial Literacy, the second-year students of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting conducted student debates on current financial issues today. Boys and girls of FPS-21 and FM-21 took part in the event.
The first round of debate was a lively discussion of "Can bitcoin be considered a full-fledged currency?" between sencond-years Oleh Mykhailechko and Petro Protsanin and their opponents Komron Kadirov and Sofiia Turuk. Diana Dizhurko and Ivan Senchakovych argued for the positive impact of globalization on the economy of Ukraine, while its negative aspects were highlighted by Tetiana Olasiuk, Andrii Hulai and Anastasiia Pleskun. The advantages of the zero VAT rate for the Ukrainian economy were outlined by Liudmyla Oleksiuk and Pavlo Kovalevskyi, and its shortcomings were described by Sofiia Abramchuk and Viktoriia Los.
Teachers of the Classical University of Ternopil, associate professors of S. I. Yuriy Department of Finance Iryna Sydor, Volodymyr Horyn, Svitlana Savchuk, and Svitlana Koval, as well as professor Tetiana Kizyma also joined the event.
