Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet participated in the opening of the WUNU Sports Complex
A momentous occasion was celebrated today at the Classical University of Ternopil - the official opening ceremony of the Sports Complex of West Ukrainian National University. Students, athletes, coaches, and teachers welcomed the guests: Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet, Head of Ternopil Regional State Administration Volodymyr Trush, and Ternopil Mayor Serhiy Nadal.
The opening ceremony of the sports complex was accompanied by a traditional ribbon cutting. Serhiy Shkarlet presented the students with gifts - sports equipment for physical education. The boys and girls made a T-shirt for the Minister with the inscription "Serhiy Shkarlet № 1", because he enthusiastically played basketball with them and emotionally supported the teams. All the distinguished guests, as well as WUNU rector Andriy Krysovatyy, expressed their well wishes and shared bits of advice with the present students.
We hope that the new state-of-the-art facility will help WUNU students to continue to demonstrate excellent results in all their endeavours!
