WUNU students will represent the university at the Olympic Games in Beijing
On January 21, the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine approved the team proposed by the national federations and based on detailed analysis and consideration of the working group to prepare for the Beijing Games in accordance with international and national selection systems.
West Ukrainian National University, as one of the best institutions of higher education in Ukraine for the development of physical fitness and sports, will be represented by student Yulianna Tunytska (Education and Research Institute of Innovation, Environmental Management and Infrastructure).
It should be noted that student Taras Lesiuk and graduate Anastasiia Merkushyna are also going to the competition in the reserve team.
Graduates of our university will also take part in the XXIV Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, namely: Andrii Mandzii (sledding) and Viktor Pasichnyk (nordic combined).
