Our university family lost a son
It is with unspeakable sorrow and sadness that we report that Andrii Terebii, a student of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at West Ukrainian National University, was killed in fierce fighting in the town of Rubizhne. He was born on October 28, 1991 and was the same age as independent Ukraine. From the first days of the war, he went to defend our native land. He served in the 81st separate airmobile brigade, which is part of the assault troops of the Armed Forces.
He has also fought for Ukraine since 2014. He served in the 24th and 54th separate mechanized brigades and the Ukrainian Volunteer Army. In peacetime he was a member of the public movement of veterans and volunteers "Defense of Ukraine" and the public organization "Res_Publica. Brothers in Arms."
When Putin launched the full-scale invasion into Ukraine on February 24, Andrii called his commander and returned his first military unit.
Andrii is survived by his sister and mother. He died defending each of us, our land, our future.
Heroes do not die, because the memory of those who closed the sky above us will live on forever.
