First meeting within the Twinning Initiative
At the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, West Ukrainian National University has joined the Twinning Initiative programme launched by the British higher education consulting company "Cormack Consultancy Group".
The company provides an opportunity for Ukrainian higher education institutions to cooperate with sister universities in Britain with a similar profile, specialties, programmes. The goal of the Twinning Initiative is to establish cooperation between the universities of Ukraine, Great Britain, and the United States and to create long-term strategic alliances between universities.
On May 10, 2022, the Vice-Rector for International Relations Oksana Desyatnyuk participated in the first work meeting with a representative of Cormack Consultancy Group and representatives of De Montfort University, UK. Taking this opportunity, the Vice-Rector expressed her deep gratitude to her British colleagues for the support and assistance received by our country, both from the British government and from British citizens.
Oksana Desyatnyuk spoke about the classical university of Ternopil, presented the key vectors of our university's development in the educational, scientific and cultural spheres. The parties discussed proposals and prospects for cooperation, identified stages of bilateral cooperation between universities.
In following meetings between WUNU and De Montfort University, in order to implement international projects and opportunities together with colleagues from the UK, we will involve representatives of the teaching staff and students of WUNU.
