3rd International School of World Educational Practices "New Way"

 On July 4, the Third International School of World Educational Practices "New Way" was officially opened. The coordinator and moderator of the event is the director of WUNU Education and Research Institute of Communications, Oksana Koval. Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (Georgia) and the Netherlands Business Academy (Netherlands) are the international partners of the school.


The project is aimed at increasing the level of competence in the field of mediation and negotiations with the aim of forming the professional culture of a new generation of high-class specialists.


In the context of the adoption of the law on mediation in Ukraine and in connection with the increasing popularity of the new culture of dialogue, WUNU ERI of Communications is actively involved in the development of non-violent communication and is rapidly building new opportunities for cooperation with experienced domestic and foreign partners in the field of negotiations and mediation.


The institute organizes joint meetings in the field of mediation as part of the consortium of universities of the international MEDIATS project, the purpose of which is to study the best practices of mediation in the EU, develop and implement master's programs in mediation, prepare trainers and provide quality training of mediators, conduct joint educational and scientific events.


At the opening of the School, the first vice-rector of WUNU Mykola Shynkaryk, the rector of the Netherlands Business Academy Professor Jan van Zwietten and the dean of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences Professor Levan Jackeli addressed the participants with welcoming words.


On the first day of the school, the presenters included:

Oleh Tryboi - mediator, lawyer, economist, international advisor on mediation and conflict management, lecturer at KROK Business School (Ukraine) with the topic "Mediation and negotiations. A brief overview of international experience";

Irakli Kandashvili - PhD, president of the Association of Mediators of Georgia, chairman of the Educational Council of the Association of Lawyers of Georgia, presented "New trends in mediation: the experience of Georgia";

Tariel Sikharulidze - PhD, mediator, coach, teacher of negotiations and mediation, associate professor of Ilia State University (Georgia), presented the report "International negotiations as a means of diplomacy";

Victoria Portere – psychologist, Latvian and German certified mediator, lawyer, teacher of the Mediator Certification Center, member of the Latvian Mediation Council (Latvia), spoke about "New trends in mediation: experience of Latvia";

Oksana Yaremko - lawyer, Candidate of Juridical Sciences, associate professor of the Department of Psychology and Social Work of West Ukrainian National University (Ukraine) spoke about "Mediation in Ukraine: current state and prospects for development".


Participants received tasks for group projects. The most active on the first day were Anastasia Martynevych, Sofia Matushak, Tamar Zhvania and Rezo Dzhabnidze.


On the second day, participants can expect two interactive sessions from Dr. Viktoria Ivaniuk (WUNU, Ukraine) and Ketevan Devadze (BSU, Georgia), as well as lectures from professors Ihor Lishchynskyi, Maria Lyzun (WUNU, Ukraine) and Blossom Tande (USA) .
