Official closing ceremony of the Third International School of World Educational Practices "New Way"
The Third International School of World Educational Practices "New Way" was held in a dignified, interesting and professional manner! For two weeks, the participants and speakers discussed the current issues of international partnership and communication in the modern globalized world, the art of negotiations in various fields, the prospects for the development of mediation and the culture of tolerant interaction during an extremely difficult time for Ukraine.
As a result, everyone received a lot of useful professional information from expert speakers. In particular, they received a brief overview of the international experience of mediation and negotiations, learned about new trends in mediation, international negotiations as a means of diplomacy, Latvia's experience in the development of mediation, and the current state and prospects for the development of mediation in Ukraine. The second day of school was very interactive and dynamic: the Oxford debate "Effectiveness of mediation in conflict resolution: "for" and "against", lectures about the implementation of business mediation through the prism of the tools of A-B-C analysis, conflict resolution as a concept of leaders' communication, and a webinar on defining the basic skills of a mediator. On the third day of school, there was a lot about mediation: complex model of neutrality as the basis of new generation mediation, practical cases from professional mediation work. The fourth day of the Third International School was very busy. Extraordinary emotions, even tears, because the participants considered extremely difficult topics: negotiation skills for the military, conducting negotiations in conditions of war, strategies for conducting military negotiations. The final day ended with easier to understand, but no less useful topics: emotional intelligence in negotiations and mediation, a new format of a living library. At the end of the school, the participants gave good feedback on what they had learned during their studies, changing roles and surprising with presentations of their group projects.
All participants received certificates, and, of course, there were additional competitions. The winner of the lottery for the free course "Mediation. Basic course" at the Netherlands Business Academy was Eter Chanidze from Georgia, while a participant from Ternopil, Sofia Matushak was awarded a certificate for a free commercial course module "Negotiations and Mediation" at West Ukrainian National University.
The closing ceremony of the Third International School of World Educational Practices "New Way" was quite modest but very heartfelt. All those present were filled with incredible emotions and awed at the true unity of many peoples in values, support, understanding and an irresistible desire to develop. It is gratifying that all these people are united by peacemaking, a sense of a united community for the victory of truth over injustice, peace over war, words over weapons. The International School of World Educational Practices "New Way" is truly a school of goodness, bright emotions, sincere friendship and strong unity.
We sincerely thank the co-organizers from the Netherlands Business Academy and Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University, all the speakers, participants, and translators for creating a new professional peacemaking community.
