Memorandum of Understanding signed with the University of Nairobi
In times of difficult trials, we, together with the world educational community, unite our scientific efforts to promote the training of highly qualified specialists who will build the future of Ukraine. Today, West Ukrainian National University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Nairobi. Our partnership is a new vector in the international cooperation of WUNU.
The ceremony was attended by honored guests: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Kenya Andriy Pravednyk, Chairman of the Ternopil Regional Council Mykhailo Holovko, People's Deputy of Ukraine Volodymyr Hevko, a distinguished delegation from the University of Nairobi: Vice-Chancellor Stephen Kiama, Director of Corporate Affairs John Orindi, as well as representatives of WUNU: Rector Andriy Krysovatyy, Vice-Rector for International Relations Oksana Desyatnyuk, Director of B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations Iryna Ivashchuk, Deputy Director of B. Havrylyshyn ERIIR Nataliia Kravchuk.
During the signing, the parties agreed on implementation of joint scientific projects and programmes, organization of lectures, workshops, symposia involving international experts and discussed the prospects for further cooperation.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Kenya Andriy Pravednyk noted that despite the problems and challenges of today, it is important to open new frontiers for universities, because deepening cooperation in the field of education is the way to a promising and successful future.
