 Today marked the start of the 12th International Conference Advanced Computer Information Technologies ACIT'2022 started in the town of Spiska Kapitula (Slovakia). This year's event brought together scientists from over 40 countries. Organizers of the conference: West Ukrainian National University, Catholic University in Ružomberok (Slovakia), University of South Bohemia (Czech Republic), Deggendorf Institute of Technology (Germany), Wroclaw University of Economics and Business (Poland).

Modern information technologies play a decisive role in the changes that society is going through. Our understanding of the world is changing as it grows more globalized. The infrastructure of information and communication technologies permeates all aspects of our lives. Distance is no longer an obstacle to maintaining both commercial and social ties.

Congratulating the participants of the meeting, the Rector of the classical university of Ternopil Andriy Krysovatyy said: "Today's world has moved to a new way of life, wherein the main role is played by information, as well as the economy built on it. The modern development of the information society is directly related to the need to collect, process and transmit huge caches of information, transforming information into a commodity, as a rule, one of considerable value. Development of the IT brings people closer and we all turn into a single independent system that transcends geographical and economic, political and language barriers. I am certain that over the course of the conference we will see constructive international dialogue, lively discussions, emergence of new ideas and approaches to overcoming the challenges of today".

The moderator of the event is Mykola Dyvak, dean of the Faculty of Computer Information Technologies of WUNU. Announcing the commencement of the conference, he noted: "ACIT'2022 is a unique opportunity to create a community of people who will present the latest research concepts, exchange ideas and developments for the expansion of cooperation between partners in international fields of education, science and project activities."

The rector of the Catholic University in Ruzomberok, Jaroslav Demko, addressed the audience: "Dear partners, respected scientists! Modern society can hardly be imagined without the IT industry. I am glad that today, together with the international community, we have gathered to discuss the prospects of computer information technologies and IT services."

At the plenary session, invited speaker Jan Fesl, professor of the Czech Technical University, gave a speech "Analysis and identification of encrypted traffic on the Internet".

During the first day of the conference, 69 reports were heard in three parallel sections:
1) Computational Intelligence and Mathematical Modeling;
2) Information in Economy and Management;
3) Specialized Information and Computer Systems.

We are convinced that this meeting of representatives of the educational elite will become a solid foundation for deepened partnership and integration of Ukraine into the world scientific community.
