FISU World Cup Combat Sports - WUNU among leaders
According to the results of the FISU World Cup Combat Sports among students, which was held in Samsun, Turkey, West Ukrainian National University took 6th place among the 344 best universities from 50 countries of the world.
Representing your alma mater and competing against other students at an international level is a unique experience in the world of sports. Our boys and girls took part in the World Cup Combat Sports, successfully winning the largest number of medals among Ukrainian university teams.
The FISU programme includes 6 sports: boxing, karate, Thai boxing, sambo wrestling, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. The Cup embraces a university-vs-university format instead of national delegations and thus changes the rules of the game.
We are proud of the WUNU youth, who proudly represent our Ukraine and West Ukrainian National University at the international level. We continue to fight and work for the prosperity of our state, gaining new victories in sports. We are proud of the perseverance and determination of WUNU students!
