Cross-border cooperation Poland-Ukraine 21-27
A meeting of students, teachers and coordinators of international projects regarding the 2021-2027 Poland-Ukraine cross-border cooperation programme was held at WUNU.
Experts from the Lviv representative office of the cross-border cooperation programme Vasyl Khomiak and Olena Zubrytska talked about the programme, its features and what was achieved with the help of this initiative. Participants had the opportunity to watch a short film about the project's success, understand the process from draft to implementation, analyzing and discussing each stage.
The speakers also talked about the tools that will help in writing the project and analyzing its problems, in particular, the "problem tree" and the "logic-structural matrix". Students and employees of the university had the opportunity to try these tools in practice, analyzing conditional cases of reconstruction of ancient estates.
For 17 years, the cross-border cooperation programme has been supporting development processes by co-financing various projects. All of them are financed within the framework of the programme, are non-commercial and contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the selected territories. Each co-financed project must demonstrate a strong cross-border effect, not only due to established partnerships between institutions, but, above all, due to the results of activities and their positive impact on the border area and its inhabitants.
The first edition of the programme was carried out in 2004-2006. The total amount of EU funding is EUR 45.8 million. 167 projects have been implemented so far.
