Presentation of the Jean Monnet project "Smart specialization: European experience of regional development strategy"
On December 20, the presentation of the Jean Monnet project 101085642 — SSEPRDS — ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH "Smart specialization: European experience of regional development strategy" was held at West Ukrainian National University.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research (International Relations) Oksana Desyatnyuk, the project team of Petro Putsenteila; Vasyl Brych; Olena Borysiak; Serhii Hunko, Uliana Tkach, as well as participants of the zoom conference.
During the implementation of the project, the following results are expected: generalization of European research and innovation experience for smart specialization; training of experts for the development of smart specialization projects; increasing the number of European studies courses at the university; development of educational and methodological materials for conducting intensive courses on the study of European research and innovation experience for smart specialization for representatives of public administration, business and the public; attracting young scientists to new areas of research into the possibilities of implementing the European Innovation Strategy in Ukraine; encouraging stakeholders to actively participate in regional development based on reasonable specialization; supporting the development of technological and practical innovations by stimulating investments in the business environment.
The project is implemented within the framework of grant agreements between the European Executive Agency for Education and Culture (EACEA) in accordance with the powers delegated by the European Commission and West Ukrainian National University.
