Study under the exchange program at the Inholland University of Applied Sciences
Students of the Department of International Economic Relations of B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations are active participants of international academic exchange programmes. One of such opportunities is studying under the Erasmus+ programme at the Inholland University of Applied Sciences (Kingdom of the Netherlands, Alkmaar).
In the first semester of 2022-23, five students of the department, having passed the competitive selection, studied under the academic mobility program.
Yuliana Pytura, a student of the MEV-31 group, shares her impressions: "After being selected for a semester study at the Inholland University of Applied Sciences under the Erasmus+ programme, I got a great opportunity to study Sustainable Business and Finance there during the fall semester. The training takes place in the city of Alkmaar, located in the North of the country (40 kilometers from Amsterdam). Alkmaar features beautiful, similar, yet different houses and a system of canals that stretches through the city. There are windmills lined up along the streets, and the aroma of cheese sometimes overwhelms the smell of grass.
Inholland is a place with an atmosphere of friendship and warmth; a place where you can get help and advice; a place where students from all over the world become one team. Studying there is very interesting and really effective. Teachers use personalized approach, despite the diversity of nationalities, countries, cultures, and views. Classes are usually interactive. They include various games, discussions, and conversations, during which students usually work in groups of 2-4 people. There is also an opportunity to communicate with guest lecturers who share their experience and knowledge. As for the exams, they are different: oral, written, in the form of a TedTalk, a mock consultation, an interview, or a project defense. For international students, Inholland also hosts various extracurricular activities, such as PubQuiz, BoulesBorrelBites evening, or BeerPong.
Participation in international programmes is a good idea if you want to discover something new and unknown; an unforgettable experience that will help you develop many skills and overcome various barriers. I am infinitely grateful to the Department of International Economic Relations of WUNU for this opportunity!"
