VI Open Western Ukrainian Intellectual Tournament "NATUS VINCERE"
The Faculty of Law of West Ukrainian National University hosted the VI Open Western Ukrainian Intellectual Tournament "NATUS VINCERE" for the Cup of WUNU Rector Andriy Krysovatyy.
About 75 teams from different parts of Ukraine - 10-11th grade students of secondary schools and 1-2 year college students from Ternopil, Lviv, Volyn, Khmelnytsky, Rivne and Chernivtsi regions - demonstrated their knowledge in three categories: law, law enforcement and international law.
The purpose of the tournament is to create conditions for the fulfillment and development of participants' creative abilities, to foster their interest in law, international law and law enforcement, to involve pupils and students in scientific activities, and to foster a sense of duty to the process of creating Ukraine as a lawful, social state with nationally conscious citizens.
In the first stage of the intellectual tournament, the teams submitted a creative presentation on one of the proposed topics. The second stage was the debate, which was preceded by a draw to determine the order of the groups. In each round, the teams played one of three roles: speaker, opponent, and reviewer. The third stage was an intellectual game, which included a warm-up, brainstorming, captain's competition, an intellectual equation, and an empirical task.
The boys and girls demonstrated their knowledge and erudition, enthusiasm and creativity in solving difficult tasks.
All teams received valuable gifts, certificates and letters of appreciation. We congratulate the winners and wish our young people inspiration and self-confidence.
