Meeting with Yuliia Shaipova within the "Public Diplomacy Studies 5.0" project
The project "Public Diplomacy Studies 5.0" under the certificate programme "European Studies: Diplomacy, Politics, Law, Economics, Communications" continued with a second meeting with Yuliia Shaipova.
Yuliia Shaipova is a specialist in public policy and European integration, head of European integration projects at the Center for Economic Recovery, legal and political advisor to the Member of Parliament of Ukraine, Deputy Head of the Ukrainian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
During the meeting, the participants talked about the path we have already traveled, the expected duration of Ukraine's accession to the EU, the criteria and requirements we must meet, and the 7 recommendations we have to implement.
Ms. Yuliia focused on the methodology of the European Commission's assessment of the main indicators of the candidate countries' progress and demonstrated the latest assessment of our progress by the EC.
They also discussed how European integration is linked to Ukraine's recovery and the EU's assistance to our country. In this context, the speaker emphasized that European integration "will be a kind of 'backbone' of Ukraine's recovery". Not only in terms of funds, but also in terms of values, reforms, technologies, innovations, and access to global and modern knowledge.
