Day 3 of GLOBAL MONEY WEEK at WUNU!
Recently, pupils of the primary school "Erudite" of Ternopil visited West Ukrainian National University. They filled the halls of the university with their sincerity, inexhaustible energy and tireless desire to learn new things.
The Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting Andrii Kizyma and the moderator of the events, Associate Professor of the S.I. Yuriy Department of Finance, Head of the Financial Education Student Scientific Club Viktoria Bulavynets, welcomed the pupils and their teachers.
Students of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, active members of the Financial Education scientific club Anastasia Kusen, Mykola Kondratiuk, Diana Bolotiukh, Lilia Soroka, Oksana Zakharuk and Viktoria Dovbenko organized an unforgettable meeting and an interesting game "Financial Kaleidoscope" for the youngsters, baked and treated their guests to delicious ginger cookies.
The schoolchildren, divided into three teams, took part in various rounds: solving a financial crossword puzzle, competing in the Financially Competent Pastry Chef contest, trying their hand at the Make an Economic Word game, and expanding their financial literacy by learning economic terms in English. In between competitions, the children were offered an informative cartoon "Children's Budget", a delicious snack, and an energetic dance to financial music.
The highlight of the meeting was the final round of the Financial Kaleidoscope called "Hearts of Desire," where children wrote down their wishes on paper hearts and then had to put a monetary value on them. As it turned out, most children today have not material, but priceless wishes: peace, victory and the return of their parents from the war.
We sincerely thank the teachers of the Erudite elementary school and its principal, Oksana Palyhii, for their cooperation and for making every effort to educate the younger generation to be erudite, financially literate and patriotic.
