Lecture "Inheritance Law of Poland and the EU"
The School of Polish and European Law invites students and professors to attend the lecture "Inheritance Law of Poland and the EU", which will be held on March 31 at 17:00.
Lecturer - Doctor of Civil Law at the Jagiellonian University, Research Fellow at the European Institute for Legal Studies at the University of Osnabrück, Coordinator of the School of American Law (Catholic University of America in Washington and Jagiellonian University), Start Program Fellow of the Polish Science Foundation, winner of the first prize of the President of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Poland at the S. Bukovetsky Memorial Competition Wojciech Banczyk.
During the meeting, we will discuss the issues of succession based on the death of an individual, types of inheritance and ways to identify heirs, the moment of acquisition and acceptance/rejection of inheritance, peculiarities of liability for the inheritor's obligations, limits of freedom of will, and mandatory share in inheritance.
We will consolidate the acquired knowledge with the help of a case law study.
