Participate in the Summer School of Slovak Language and Culture Studia Academica Slovaca
The Government of Slovakia announces scholarship opportunities for Ukrainian citizens to participate in the Summer School of Slovak Language and Culture Studia Academica Slovaca.
This year, the SAS Summer School will be held face-to-face - from July 30 to August 19, 2023 and remotely - from July 31 to August 12, 2023. The program will include language courses and a traditional block of lectures. The summer school is organized and implemented by Studia Academica Slovaca, the Slovak Language Center of the Faculty of Philosophy of Comenius University in Bratislava.
The selection procedures are the responsibility of the sending countries, which means that the scholarship codes of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic will be transferred to successful applicants directly by the relevant institution abroad (embassy, consulate, local ministry of education, university, lecture hall).
Each awarded scholarship corresponds to one specific code and if the applicant does not fill it in the application, the application will not be sent. The Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic points out that the same code cannot be used twice. Once the code is used for the first time, it cannot be used again.
The online application will be available from April 10, 2023 on the website: https://slovak.minedu.sk
Interested persons must fill out a section with personal data, information about the choice of course, and indicate their level of Slovak language skills. Applicants must also indicate which form of study they are interested in ("on-site" or "off-site") and enter their scholarship code. A short motivation letter is also attached to the application form, and the applicant also attaches his or her photo and a signed consent form to process personal data in the form of an electronic attachment.
The application deadline is May 26, 2023. All unused scholarship codes will be blocked after this date and unused scholarships will be awarded to alternative applicants. Applicants who have completed their application in full will be automatically informed of successful submission and will be able to download and save it in pdf format at their convenience. In the meantime, the SAS coordinator will contact them within 10 days and will be available for any questions or problem solving.
The application itself is not yet an acceptance letter. Accepted applicants will receive a letter by e-mail or post after completion of registration and consultation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic - in the second half of June 2023.
