International Negotiation Training and Research Association INTRA
Following a series of meetings between Oksana Koval, Director of the Education and Research Institute of Communications, and Dr. Peter Kesting and Dr. Remigiusz Smolinski, West Ukrainian National University was granted membership in the International Negotiation Training and Research Association (INTRA).
INTRA is an open network of negotiation research, training, and practice that has been facilitating collaboration among its members for many years and constantly encourages them to share training materials, information, and research of interest to the community.
Being involved in the international professional community means becoming part of an open network of scientists and practitioners, having opportunities to exchange experience and research, participating in intervisory and supervisory meetings, and belonging to a professional community of real world experts.
Drs. Kesting and Smolinski are the founders of INTRA, the international negotiation competition The Negotiation Challenge, and co-organizers of the Young Diplomat Summer School 2023. Students of the Negotiation Psychology and Mediation program have already registered for this event and are preparing for an interesting school program in August in The Hague (Netherlands). The program includes international negotiation competitions, conferences, workshops, an introduction to diplomacy, negotiation simulations, visits to the International Court of Justice at the Peace Palace, the International Criminal Court and embassies in The Hague.
The INTRA board of directors and members also meet annually to build and strengthen personal relationships between like-minded colleagues, present the latest research findings and ideas, share experiences in negotiation pedagogy, discuss joint research projects, and introduce new members.
Oksana Koval, Director of the Education and Research Institute of Communications, has been invited to this year's meeting on May 18 to present West Ukrainian National University and the Negotiation Psychology and Mediation educational program, which is being implemented jointly with the Netherlands Business Academy.
We are pleased to be a part of the INTRA network, to be enriched by the professional experience of negotiators from around the world and to share our knowledge and interest in research and innovation in the field of negotiation and conflict-free communication.
