WUNU Professor received the Ivan Vyhovsky Award under the patronage of the President of Poland

 Vita Semaniuk, Head of the Research Unit, Doctor of Economics, Professor of West Ukrainian National University, received the Ivan Vyhovsky Honorary Award.


The Ivan Vyhovsky Award honors the contribution of Ukrainian citizens to the development of science, culture and public life, to the development of civil society and the establishment of a democratic Ukraine oriented towards Europe.


The award was established in 2014 by the Center for East European Studies at the University of Warsaw and the most prestigious Polish universities.


The award ceremony takes place at the University of Warsaw every year on May 22, the day when the Sejm ratified the Treaty of Hadiach between the Commonwealth of Poland and the Zaporizhzhia Army. The award ceremony was held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland. During the ceremony, a congratulatory letter from the current President Andrzej Duda was read out.


Ms. Vita received a diploma signed by the rectors and vice-rectors of all the universities that founded the award and was granted the right to undertake a research internship and lecture at two Polish universities with scientific schools in the field of the award winner's specialization for 2 months.
