WUNU elects a new Rector!
On Tuesday, June 6, the election of the Rector took place at West Ukrainian National University.
By the decision of the Organizing Committee for the election of the Rector of West Ukrainian National University (Minutes No. 11 of June 06, 2023), the election was recognized as valid.
Doctor of Economics, Professor Oksana Myronivna Desyatnyuk was recognized as the winner for the post of Rector of WUNU on the basis of secret voting (Protocol No. 6 of the Election Committee for the election of the Rector of West Ukrainian National University of June 06, 2023).
Out of 920 voters, 864 turned out to vote.
Doctor of Economics, Professor Oksana Desyatnyuk received 752 votes (81.7%), Doctor of Economics, Professor Iryna Ivashchuk received 76 votes (8.3%), Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Taras Marshalko received 25 votes (2.7%), and 7 people (0.8%) did not support any candidate.
The elections were held in compliance with the current legislation.
"I have worked and will continue to work for the development and prestige of my Alma Mater, will do everything I can and use my professional experience to strengthen my university, respecting the honor and dignity of every person, regardless of their status, position or beliefs, taking into account the opinions of others, honoring my predecessors and appreciating their support," Oksana Desyatnyuk said.
