International internship of the WUNU delegation at the Netherlands Business Academy
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Project Key Action 107, from May 29 to June 2, 2023, representatives of West Ukrainian National University underwent an internship. The delegation included: Associate Professor Oksana Koval, coordinator of international activities Anastasia Martynevych, Professor Vasyl Brych, and Associate Professor Olena Borysiak.
Professor Jan van Zwieten, Rector of the Netherlands Business Academy, President of the International Association of Mediators, coordinated the organization of the training program "Business Aspects of Climate Regulation in the EU" and the practice-oriented focus of the classes, held as part of the implementation of the CLIMAN ERASMUS+ project "Synergy of educational, scientific, managerial and industrial components for climate management and climate change prevention", and a request to the European Agency for Education and Culture to officially join the project.
The internship was joined by members of the international university consortium of the CLIMAN grant project from the University of Foggia (Italy), the University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), Turiba University (Latvia), and KROK University (Ukraine), Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University (Ukraine), Lviv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine), Akaki Tsereteli State University (Georgia), Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (Georgia).
The main goal of the project is to develop climate management communications and research to accelerate integration into the global climate market and implement global climate regulation requirements by implementing best European practices in climate change abatement, adaptation, and mitigation.
The curriculum included activities related to attending and participating in seminars and workshops on the characteristics, challenges, and policy framework for climate regulation in the European Union, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, case studies and activities of international investors, and company visits to study models and learn about their mechanisms for implementing sustainable development goals.
Olena Borysiak conducted a workshop aimed at raising awareness of climate management, its integration into the energy sector and the use of renewable energy sources, in particular the cultivation of energy crops in Ukraine, entitled "Climate management and green energy transmission chain."
All participants received certificates of international internship.
