Africa Day
Every year, the B.D. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations of West Ukrainian National University celebrates Africa Day, as students from African countries study at the university.
The event was organized by the Department of International Tourism and Hospitality Business, where young men and women study under the educational programs "Tourism" and "Hotel and Restaurant Business". Students of the International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies program, Director of the Center for Diplomacy, Security and Democracy Natalia Kravchuk and teachers of the Institute also joined the celebration.
Iryna Ivashchuk, Director of the Education and Research Institute of International Relations, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Senegal in Ukraine, told the students about Senegal, its traditions and languages.
Ruslana Matushyk, a 4th year student of the International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies program, introduced everyone to the peculiarities of Senegalese cuisine, the main dishes that are common in the country, and the traditions of food consumption. Tetiana Kalichenko and Iryna Kozliuk, 4th year students of the Tourism program, made a great presentation on the tourism potential of Senegal.
After an interesting conversation, the laboratory's employees Olha Bik, Nataliia Svidnytska, Viktoriia Kovalchyk, and the head of the Department of International Tourism and Hospitality Business Oksana Huhul treated everyone to Senegalese dishes.
