Ukrainian-Japanese project
A new Ukrainian-Japanese project has been launched as part of the School of International Communications at West Ukrainian National University. The project involves students of Kyoto Sangyo University from Japan and students majoring in Business Communications and Translation of the B.D. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations.
The project's leaders are Carsten Waychert, a lecturer of German at Kyoto Sangyo University, and Olga Tsaryk, a professor at the Department of Foreign Languages and Information and Communication Technologies at WUNU.
The main goal of the project is to develop communication skills in German and to study the cultures of Japan and Ukraine.
"The online meeting was great! Although we were a little scared at first, soon all our fears were dispelled and we were all talking freely about everything we could think of: football, volleyball, food, culture, words, and, in fact, language.
Kurz gesagt, das war aufregend!" said Ostap Zatserkovnyi, a student of the BKP-31 group.
"The meeting went off without a hitch. It was interesting to talk to people from a completely different culture. However different we may be, we are united by communication (today in the form of German) I am looking forward to the next meeting," shared his impressions Maksym Husak, a student of the BKP-21 group.
"A really interesting meeting, it's nice to talk to people who are also studying for the same purpose as you. I feel a sense of cooperation, I'm looking forward to the next meeting!" said Viktor Yerokhin, a student of the BKP-21 group.
