Marketing week at FEM!
Marketing week was held at the Faculty of Economics and Management of West Ukrainian National University.
On Monday, young people got acquainted with and tested the equipment of the neuromarketing and advertising laboratory in the lobby of building No. 3; students of MARK-11 and MARK-12 groups joined a quest on the campus of WUNU organized by 4th year students; students also took part in a neuromarketing experiment within the project 101085491 - EEACCCES - ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH "European experience of adaptation to climate change: concept of energy security".
Tuesday was also busy, as there was a master class on Emotions in Marketing with test tubes and flasks, discussions on how hormones and emotions affect customer behavior; students and guests took part in a scientific roundtable on Territory Branding. Guest Marichka Yurchak, founder of the creative cluster "Na Poshtі", spoke about the peculiarities of the Ternopil brand, students presented their own projects, and Dean Viktor Ostroverkhov presented certificates.
On Wednesday, we held a pitching session on subcultures with high school students from Ternopil. Students from schools and colleges presented their projects on gaming, healthy lifestyles, and Altushkas, members of a dance cover band, participated in the neuromarketing and advertising laboratory of WUNU. There was also an interesting master class on outdoor aroma marketing, where we studied specific business cases and what smells are appropriate, listened to stories of aroma marketing by well-known companies, tested aroma oils and hypoallergenic aroma liquids such as New Car, Creativity, Boutique, Leather, Christmas, and other interesting smells used in neuromarketing.
On Thursday, there was a practical session at the Silpo supermarket, where the store manager Bohdan Polulikh told marketing students about the intricacies of merchandising, refuted well-known myths and described the peculiarities of the impact of the location of goods, shelves and racks on the buyer. The young men and women also conducted a survey on campus to find out whether students and faculty knew any marketing classics.
On Friday, the All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference "Neuromarketing, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Marketing: Problems and Prospects" was held. The participants presented on interesting topics, with special attention paid to the report of the department's stakeholder and trainer, Alina Basarab, a marketer by education and owner of the Shetland pony club, who spoke about neuromarketing technologies in the horse business and sports.
On Sunday, scientific picnics were held at Ternopil's Teatralna Square, where students and teachers showed interesting experiments to children and talked about the marketing profession.
