WUNU students received commendations from the cyber police
On June 15, 2023, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Information Technologies Mykola Dyvak, Deputy Dean Ihor Yakymenko, Head of the Department of Cybersecurity Vasyl Yatskiv, and students of FCIT gathered in the Rectorate Hall of West Ukrainian National University to meet with the Head of the Department for Combating Cybercrime in Ternopil Region, Lieutenant Colonel of Police Ihor Hladysh and Inspector of the Department, Senior Lieutenant Oleksandr Chorba.
The parties discussed areas of cooperation, involvement of students in practical work on investigating cybercrime in Ukraine, online fraud, and the effective use of the MRIYA project to block illegal content on the Internet and hostile resources.
Lieutenant Colonel Ihor Hladysh, Head of the Cybercrime Department in Ternopil Region, presented the FCIT students with letters of appreciation: Nazar Krupnytskyi, Oleksandr Yarnik, Oleksandr Tsubera, Mykola Netrebiak, Iryna Nakonechna, Yana Karytiak, Anatolii Bodnar, Hennadii Bohuta, Vita Katsydym, Mariana Soya, Viktoriia Fedchyshyn, Dmytro Pererva, Alina Mykolaiiska, Liudmyla Mandybura, Pavlo Bylen, Oleksandr Musienko, Bohdan Barannik, Vasyl Kohut, and Sofia Tsezaruk were recognized for their significant personal contribution to the common cause and significant achievements in the fight against terrorism and cybercrime in Ukraine.
