Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research Uliana Koruts presented the TURBO project (The Universities' Reaction to Big Obstacles (TURBO): Building resilient higher education systems to respond and manage societal crises").
The project is aimed at supporting the reintegration of internally displaced persons (IDPs) into new local communities through targeted retraining and social adaptation initiatives; sharing best practices and experiences related to retraining and social adaptation of IDPs in Ukraine and internationally; increasing the capacity of Ukrainian universities to offer adapted, market-relevant business and management education programs, which will facilitate faster integration into the European Union's educational space; advocacy for improvement of the legal framework of the Ukrainian higher education system, in particular, recognition of microloans as a component of continuing education at universities; establishing cooperation between various stakeholders to ensure social inclusion, increase student employability and support the quality of higher education in times of social upheaval.
Veronika Vakulenko, PhD, Associate Professor at Nord University, defined the project implementation period, work programs, discussed the preparation and launch of TURBO, scheduled further meetings, and identified partners working on the project.
We thank our partners for their support and fruitful cooperation. Together we can shape a better future for Ukrainian higher education and society.
