Mini-football tournament for the Rector's Cup
Recently, the campus student council of West Ukrainian National University organised its traditional mini-football tournament for the Rector's Cup.
An epic battle between the campus dormitory teams took place on the artificial pitch on the university campus. Every moment was tense and crucial, as the athletes fought for the main prize of the tournament. But it was not just about playing on the pitch. The spectators gathered in huge groups to support their team.
Despite the intense competition, sportsmanship, friendly atmosphere and fair play always came first. Teams and individual players were recognised for their professionalism and dedication to the game.
The Rector's Cup of West Ukrainian National University was awarded to the team of dormitory No. 3.
The second place was taken by dormitory No. 5.
The third place went to dormitory No. 4.
The awards also went to Danylo Arshynov - the best goalkeeper of the tournament, Oleksandr Khometskyi - the best striker, Yurii Lipnyi - the best defender, and Vladyslav Litynskyi received the prize for the best fan.
The tournament raised 3437 UAH for the needs of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade of the Transcarpathian region. We are grateful to our defenders, thanks to whom we have the opportunity to hold such events!
