Meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, PhD in Economics Volodymyr Khomanets
Within the framework of the project "Diplomacy and International Cooperation", initiated by Oksana Tulai, Head of the Department of International Relations and Diploamacy, students majoring in International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, PhD in Economics Volodymyr Khomanets.
During the meeting, the participants got acquainted with the peculiarities of the functioning of the diplomatic service of Ukraine and reviewed the structure, role and importance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in shaping the country's foreign policy. The Ambassador emphasised the importance of foreign diplomatic missions and spoke in detail about the leadership of these institutions, categories of staff, structural units, diplomatic posts and functions.
Volodymyr Khomanets gave practical examples from the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Tunisia on methods and means of communication with foreign partners, spoke about Ukraine's strategy in Africa and the mechanisms of Ukrainian diplomatic expansion on the continent as an important component of bringing victory closer. At the end of the meeting, Volodymyr Khomanets answered questions from the participants.
The meeting was also attended by Uliana Koruts, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research (International Relations), Iryna Ivashchuk, Director of the Bohdan Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations, as well as teachers and students of the Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University.
