Cooperation agreement between WUNU and Swiss company Assertive Group
According to the internationalization strategy of West Ukrainian National University, the staff of the Education and Research Institute of Communications continues to find new avenues for international cooperation, strengthening its position at the national level and in the international arena in the field of negotiations, mediation and the culture of tolerant social interaction.
With the aim of introducing the latest approaches to creating a single European research, education and innovation space, a cooperation agreement was signed between West Ukrainian National University and Assertive Group (Switzerland), a company that researches and practices negotiation, facilitation, leadership and influence.
The Rector of WUNU Oksana Desyatnyuk and the CEO of Assertive Group Steve Alban Tineo agreed to collaborate in the following areas within the framework of the signed agreement: conducting scientific research, intercultural scientific communication, involvement of Swiss practitioners and guest lecturers in teaching the educational programme "Psychology of Negotiation and Mediation", participation in international grant projects, internship programmes, implementation of joint programmes, practice-oriented schools, conferences, organisation of training platforms in the field of negotiation, mediation and leadership.
The event was joined by Uliana Koruts, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Yuliia Voityshyn, Head of the International Relations Office, Oksana Koval, Director of the Education and Research Institute of Communications, Sonia Grimm, Executive Director of Assertive Group, Mariia Shesterniak, Deputy Director of the School of International Cooperation, Viktoriia Ivaniuk, Director of the School of International Cooperation, and Anastasiia Martynevych, Coordinator of International Activities at the Institute.
Steve Alban Tineo, CEO of Assertive Group, expressed his admiration for the courage of Ukrainians during the war and assured us that the cooperation would be effective and beneficial for the students and faculty of the university.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their hope for effective cooperation, which will provide ample opportunities for free discussion of topical issues in the field of negotiations, mediation and leadership and will create a new significant impetus for the development of cooperation between our institutions for peacemaking in Ukraine and the world.
