Gender equality workshop "Women in negotiation: discover your innate power"
The Education and Research Institute of Communications of West Ukrainian National University organised a gender equality workshop "Women in negotiation: discover your innate power" aimed at raising awareness, increasing opportunities and enriching women's inner power in negotiation.
Sonia Grimm, a lecturer, mediator, coach, executive director of the negotiation research and practice company Assertive Group, mindfulness coach, and expert in applied neuroscience (Switzerland), was the speaker of the event. Since 2019, she has been working with the Assertive Group, leading numerous personal development programmes that teach and support overcoming personal and human crises, and she offers her mediation and negotiation expertise to people who are weakened and hurt by life.
Analysis and consideration of stereotypes and beliefs that can hinder women in their career and personal development was an important part of the workshop. Sonia revealed the secrets of negotiation, where women can succeed by overcoming stereotypes and beliefs that have been ingrained in society for generations. Based on establishing trusting relationships, favouring a human capital approach to building connections, trust and constructive dialogue, Sonia uses techniques that encourage each individual to regain self-confidence and autonomy.
The workshop highlighted the important issue of gender equality, providing women with the tools and support they need to overcome obstacles and succeed in various areas of life. The event contributed to the development of strong and independent women who can represent themselves with dignity in the world of negotiation and influence.
