Educational lecture "Legal assistance to Ukrainians in Slovakia"
The Education and Research Institute of Communications of WUNU invites everyone to join the discussion during the educational lecture "Legal Assistance to Ukrainians in Slovakia", which will be held on 2 November 2023 at 11:00 am in room 11301.
The speaker is Jákub Uláger, a scholar, PhD in law, lawyer at the Human Rights League legal aid centre. He, like many of the centre's employees, helps Ukrainian citizens in Slovakia and has extensive experience in legal protection of refugees.
Mr Ulager will speak about providing legal assistance to Ukrainians in Slovakia, safety tips, and obtaining a legal status for people who were forced to leave Ukraine.
The lecturer has a personal relationship with Ukraine, he has personally visited almost all Ukrainian cities and has been studying the Ukrainian language for a year.
Together with a delegation from the Matej Bel University, Jakub Ulager visited West Ukrainian National University last year during the international scientific and practical conference "Communication as a Factor of Transparency of Social Interaction", organised by the Education and Research Institute of Communications. At that time, the scientists also acted as volunteers, delivering high-quality humanitarian aid to Ukraine for the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
