All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation "The Latest Paradigm of Modern Linguistics, Foreign Language Communication and Methodology"
The Department of Foreign Languages and Information and Communication Technologies of West Ukrainian National University organised the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation "The Latest Paradigm of Modern Linguistics, Foreign Language Communication and Methodology".
The plenary session was addressed by Vice-Rector for Research Mykola Dyvak, Vice-Rector for International Relations Uliana Koruts, Acting Director of the B. Havrylyshyn ERIIR Maksym Zhyvko, Director of the International Centre for Culture and Development, Olga Tsaryk, Head of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation of the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Management, President of the NGO "Association of English Teachers "TESOL-Ukraine" Olena Ilienko, as well as Thomas Bauer, Head of the International Department of the Hochschule für Pedagogische Wien, Erasmus+ Coordinator, Latif Durlanik, Professor of Germanic Studies at the University of Bremen and the University of Hamburg (Germany), and MA Esther Drexler.
The event was moderated by Svitlana Rybachok, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor. She outlined the main aspects of the conference: the characteristic new educational and cognitive parameters: expansion to other sciences, anthropocentrism, functionalism and cognitivism in the study of linguistic phenomena, the explanatory nature of the interpretation of linguistic phenomena, axiology, pragmatism; changes in research priorities, scientific problems; intercultural communication as a key factor in the implementation of international projects; opportunities for professional development of English teachers.
The scientific event continued in sectional sessions.
