Financial Literacy Week continues!
The third day of the Financial Literacy Week at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of West Ukrainian National University is about new knowledge and unforgettable impressions!
The pupils of the Ternopil Regional Communal Institution for Social Support and Education of Children visited WUNU. They toured the halls and classrooms of the university and met the students of the Financial Education scientific club and the lecturers of the Yurii Department of Finance. The organisers, Oksana Kvasnytsia (Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting) and Viktoriia Bulavynets and Svitlana Savchuk (PhD in Economics, Associate Professors of the S.I. Yurii Department of Finance), welcomed the students and their mentors and wished them to expand their financial awareness together.
The invited guests, representatives of JSC Oschadbank, Iryna Yasinska (manager of the Office No. 10019/07) and Alla Kovalchuk (manager of the Office No. 10019/014), told the students about bank cards and their correct and safe use in an interesting and accessible way.
The children were particularly interested in the educational and cognitive game "Financial Kaleidoscope" organised for them by students of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, actively participating in the Financial Education scientific club of Anastasia Kusen, Andriy Getman, Lilia Soroka, Oksana Zakharuk, Irina Pirik and Victoria Dovbenko. Divided into two teams, the students gladly competed in various rounds: solving financial crossword puzzles and riddles; competing in the Financially Competent Pastry Chef competition; playing the games "Make a Financial Statement" and "Guess the Word"; and expanding their financial literacy by learning economic terms in English. In between the competitions, the children were offered an informative video about the Ukrainian hryvnia and an energetic "financial" dance to music.
All participants received gifts from the event organisers, walked around the WUNU campus and visited McDonald's, which was a pleasant surprise for them.
Thus, the third day of the Financial Literacy Week at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of West Ukrainian National University was filled with sincerity, spontaneity, inexhaustible energy, optimism and a relentless desire to learn new things.
