Scientific and Practical Conference (with international participation) "Ukraine goes digital"
Within the framework of cooperation between West Ukrainian National University and the Technical University of Dresden (Germany), a Scientific and Practical Conference (with international participation) "Ukraine Goes Digital" was held by the Department of International Economics of the B.D. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations.
The event was attended by professors and students from the Technical University of Dresden (TUD), Vasyl' Stus Donetsk National University, Mariupol State University, and Ternopil Classical University.
The plenary session was opened by Mykola Dyvak, Vice-Rector for Research of West Ukrainian National University
The opening ceremony was also attended by Eric Schopp (Head of the Department of Business Information Systems, in particular Information Management), Vitalina Kurylyak (Deputy Director, Head of the Ukrainian-German Faculty Program of the B.D. Havrylyshyn ERIIR of WUNU), Oksana Shvaika (coordinator of joint projects at the Information Center of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Kyiv), Ann-Christine Matte (DAAD representative and head of the Department of Digitalization for the Internationalization of Universities of Applied Sciences), and Konstantin Scharf (coordinator of the project initiative "TUD and Ukraine: Bridges that Connect" (Zittau Institute/TUD).
The Scientific and Practical Conference (with international participation) "Ukraine Goes Digital" was the final event of more than a year of cooperation with the Department of Business Information Systems within the framework of the project "TUD Builds Bridges", "Digitalization of the German-language program "International Economics" of West Ukrainian National University with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service.
The participants discussed modern learning technologies, digitalization in education, practical results of developing an e-tutor qualification, organization of international e-tutor teams, joint international online learning as a key element of organizing training with phases of physical and virtual exchange, and the experience of WUNU students in using the COIL approach (collaborative international online learning in multicultural groups).
