European Youth Forum in Neumark
As part of the work of the International Center for Culture and Development, students and teachers of West Ukrainian National University took part in the European Youth Forum in Neumarkt, Steiermark, Austria.
This project involved 9 students majoring in Business Communications and Translation from the Department of Foreign Languages and Information and Communication Technologies: Anastasia Kit, Veronika Andrievska, Marta Danyliuk, Yulia Tsymbal, Sofia Dubova, Tina Mdinaradze, Yulia Demchuk, Iryna Krysovata, Yulia Romanchak, and a student majoring in Marketing at the Department of Marketing of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Diana Hurnevych, as well as Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages and Information and Communication Technologies, Director of the International Center for Culture and Development Olha Tsaryk and Associate Professor of the Department Natalia Rybina.
The program of the event was extremely rich: Daniel Kennedy's lecture "A New European Future Culture", Dr. Thomas Bauer's workshop "Erasmus+ and mobility programs"; workshop by Associate Professor Natalia Rybina and Professor Olga Tsaryk "Building Bridges of Peace: Exploring the role of youth in promoting peace, conflict resolution, and the importance of cross-cultural understanding"; lecture by Dieter Baher "Between media and propaganda: information and war"; workshop by Nastasia Koprivitsa "Courage, Young Europeans".
WUNU students prepared presentations about youth organizations that popularized the idea of peace after World Wars 1 and 2, as well as the activities of Ukrainian youth during the full-scale war in Ukraine.
Teamwork on joint projects and traveling gave participants the opportunity to improve their communication skills and develop intercultural competence. This experience opened up many new horizons and left unforgettable memories for the students.
