Winter School of European Law at the University of Osnabrück
Students and lecturers of the Law and International Law specialities of the Law Faculty took part in the Osnabrück Research Forum 2023 and the Winter School of European Law at the University of Osnabrück (Germany).
The Law Faculty of WUNU actively involves students and teachers in international cross-cultural events.
From 29 November to 7 December 2023, with the assistance of the School of Polish and European Law and the support of the DAAD Foundation, students of the Faculty of Law and Associate Professor of the Department of International Law and Migration Policy Hanna Poperechna and Lecturer of the Department of Administrative Law and Judicial Procedure Tetiana Kuz studied, exchanged experience and acquired new skills at the University of Osnabrück.
Students and lecturers took part in the international Osnabrück Research Forum, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the European Institute of Legal Studies. The event featured discussions with leading legal scholars from around the world, including Prof. Christoph Busch, Prof. Oliver Dörr, Prof. Thomas Groß, Prof. Mary-Rose McGuire, Prof. Hans Schulte-Nölke, Prof. Fryderyk Zoll, Prof. Christian von Bar.
The focus of the scientific discussion was the presentation by the President of the Institute of European Law in Vienna, Professor Pascal Pichonnaz, on "Digital contract law in the EU and its disruptive impact on domestic law".
During the lectures, the participants learned about the peculiarities of the German constitutional system, the historical background and operation of German civil, administrative, and criminal law, and discussed new challenges for global legal systems related to the development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
Upon completion of the Winter School of European Law, all participants received international certificates.
