WUNU students took part in the international virtual experience project GCSC!
The Global Case Study Challenge 6th edition (#GCSC) is an immersive intercultural and virtual experience that provides participants with invaluable insights for their personal and professional growth. Professors from 18 universities around the world and more than 350 students from 13 countries took part in the COIL project and virtual exchange in 2023!
The students, split into global virtual teams, were given a case study and various tasks to work on together over the course of 8 weeks. By tackling international business issues, the students not only gained knowledge in various case study areas, but also learnt to work with people from different cultures, time zones, and curricula in a virtual context.
The GCSC cases were based on contemporary global mergers and acquisitions involving two MNCs. The case studies focused on the ongoing changes that occur within the post-acquisition process:
- Clash of organisational values and cultures;
- HR processes and compensation;
- corporate social responsibility;
- change management;
- training and development in the organisation.
Maksym Husak, Bohdana Kupchyk, Tina Mdynaradze, Kateryna Hulyk, Andrii Stravskyi, Tetiana Novachynska, Sofia Dubova, Mikaela Dan, Yuliia Tsymbal, Sofia Zarytska, and Viktor Bryn took part in the event.
The project coordinator from WUNU is Olga Tsaryk, Director of the International Centre for Culture and Development, Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages and Information and Communication Technologies; the GCSC educator from WUNU is Liliia Krysovata, international communications specialist at the International Centre for Culture and Development of WUNU.
