The final week of crisis negotiation training for the Zaporizhzhia regional police
The second week of the training programme "Psychological features of crisis negotiations of police officers in extreme conditions of service", organised by the Education and Research Institute of Communications of WUNU for the staff of the Main Department of the National Police in Zaporizhzhia region, has come to an end.
The speakers of the second week included:
- Ihor Kusiak, the founder of the Wordsmith Workshop platform for effective communication training, a coach in public speaking and effective communication, professional actor, director, and affiliated member of the National Association of Gestalt Therapists of Ukraine (Ukraine).
- Maria Bryhadyr - PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology and Social Work, Director of the AKME School of Professional Development at West Ukrainian National University, a psychotherapist working with positive psychotherapy, art therapist, loss group counsellor, member of the Ukrainian Union of Psychotherapists and the World Association of Positive Psychotherapy (Ukraine).
- Inna Hleha - Lieutenant Colonel of police, trainer of the NPU and EUAM in the Dialogue Police project, negotiator in the joint negotiation team of the ATC at the SSU, graduate of the School of Engineers of Reconciliation (Ukrainian Centre for Nonviolent Communication and Reconciliation) (Ukraine).
- Jan van Zwieten - Rector of the Netherlands Business Academy, President of the International Mediation Association, Chairman of the Board of the Dutch Quality Foundation for Mediators SKM, Director of the School of Negotiation and Mediation of the Education and Research Institute of Communications, Honorary Professor of West Ukrainian National University, practicing mediator, coach, trainer, court mediator of the Court of Breda (Netherlands).
- Natalia Hesiuk - Deputy Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Ternopil Oblast, freelance crisis psychologist, loss counsellor, positive psychotherapist, member of the Ukrainian Union of Psychotherapists and the World Association of Positive Psychotherapy (Ukraine).
The therapy session was organised by:
- Oksana Koval, Director of the Education and Research Institute of Communications, PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology and Social Work at West Ukrainian National University, psychological counsellor in the method of positive psychotherapy, loss counsellor, member of the Ukrainian Union of Psychotherapists and the World Association of Positive Psychotherapy (Ukraine).
- Diana Boiko - psychological consultant in the method of positive psychotherapy, art therapist (Ukraine).
Professional translation and support of classes with foreign speakers was provided by:
- Anastasia Martynevych - Coordinator of International Activities of the Education and Research Institute of Communications of WUNU.
- Viktoriia Korobii - 1st grade interpreter of the International Relations Office of WUNU.
The participants, who were really impressed with the quality of the classes and the overall organisation of the training, gave excellent feedback and expressed their desire to take another advanced training course at the Education and Research Institute of Communications next year.
