WUNU is 11th in the Webometrics Ranking of World's Universities January 2024
The latest edition of the Webometrics Ranking of World's Universities January 2024 has recently been published. The first edition of 2024 with RoR institutional identifiers.
West Ukrainian National University was ranked 11th among 299 universities in Ukraine.
All in all, this time the web presence was assessed for more than 32,000 educational institutions worldwide.
Universities are evaluated by three indicators:
VISIBILITY - the number of external sources that contain backlinks to the institution's website - calculated using the Ahrefs and Majestic tools - 50%;
TRANSPARENCY - the number of citations of the institution's top authors (310 top authors, excluding the first 20) according to Google Scholar Citations - 10%;
EXCELLENCE - the number of articles by researchers of the institution that are among the 10% most cited in 27 disciplines according to Scimago calculations - 40%. Data for the five-year period: 2018-2022 Cybermetrics Book.
We are proud that West Ukrainian National University holds high positions in world rankings, and this is the best motivation for us to work harder, affirming the great quality of Ukrainian education.
