Cooperation with Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra
International cooperation of West Ukrainian National University with the world's leading higher education institutions is expanding. Recently, Oksana Homotiuk, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, and Yurii Shcherbiak, Deputy Dean, discussed partnership with the scientists of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, which is ranked sixth among Slovak universities according to webometrics.info. It has more than 6,700 students.
CFU actively engages in international activities. The cooperation between CFU and WUNU was initiated by the Vice-Rector for International Relations of CFU, Assoc. Prof. Martina Pavlikova and Vice-Rector for International Relations of WUNU, Prof. Uliana Koruts.
Negotiations between the universities opened in November 2023 and resulted in the signing of a cooperation agreement.
The next step was a joint study and publication of its results. All materials have been successfully reviewed and will be published in journals indexed by WOS and SCOPUS. The research involved scientists from WUNU as well as Slovak colleagues.
In April 2024, at the invitation of the Rector of CFU, Professor Libor Vozar, a delegation of WUNU representatives is scheduled to visit the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. It is planned to discuss a joint international project for 2024, cooperation within the framework of the Erasmus + KA 171 programmes between CFU and WUNU. Slovak colleagues are opening these academic mobility programmes to WUNU's academic staff and students, which will help improve the quality of education, exchange of experience, and the development of the university and Ukrainian science.
