Working visit of the Dean of the University of Applied Sciences of Šibenik, Ljubo Runjić
The Dean of the Šibenik University of Applied Sciences, Ljubo Runjić, and the legal consultant Maja Cvitan Grubišin paid a working visit to West Ukrainian National University in the context of the bilateral cooperation.
Welcoming the guests to Ternopil, Rector Oksana Desyatnyuk said: "Dear colleagues! We are glad that the partnership between our higher education institutions continues. Today's meeting is an opportunity to exchange views and new ideas, discuss educational and research projects, agree on the organisation of joint research, events and conferences, and launch a double degree programme. I am convinced that by uniting academic communities, we will realise all the ideas that will benefit not only students but also the public in our countries!"
The Dean of the Šibenik University of Applied Sciences, Ljubo Runjić, said: "Our cooperation is a significant step towards the development of higher education and intercultural communication. It is important for us to interact with universities from different countries, to help train highly qualified specialists and attract the best practitioners."
Uliana Koruts, Vice-Rector for International Relations, focused on academic mobility programmes, teacher internships, and semester studies for students of West Ukrainian National University and the University of Applied Sciences in Šibenik.
During the visit, the delegation visited the Law Faculty of WUNU. Ljubo Runjić and Maja Cvitan Grubišin talked to the administration, outlined the vectors of cooperation in the legal field, and got acquainted with the facilities.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law Serhii Banakh invited the prof. Runjić to join the scientific and practical conference held annually in April at the Faculty. The students had the opportunity to exchange ideas with the guests on the relevance of studying European law in the context of modern challenges and needs of society.
Ljubo Runjić also met with students of the B.D. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations and delivered a lecture on "Academic Session: EU Integration, Negotiations with the EU, EU Reforms, EU Public Policy", during which they discussed Croatia's European integration, challenges, opportunities and prospects for Ukraine.
"Young people are the future, because they will contribute to the process of European integration and determine the future path of Ukraine's development," summed up Ljubo Runjić.
In conclusion, the young people expressed their gratitude to the guests for the opportunity to talk and debate important topics, noting that such discussions provide a better understanding of current international processes and Ukraine's role in them.
