Career Day at WUNU!
A Career Day was held at West Ukrainian National University. Students, graduates, and employers came together for the long-awaited event. Such events play a key role in creating opportunities for students to meet potential employers, share experiences and expand their career opportunities.
Representatives of 45 organisations in various fields presented their business potential to university students at the Career Day: IT, national police, banks, food companies, internet providers, marketing and printing companies, the agricultural businesses, small businesses, finance, technology and services.
Today, the university is not only an educational institution, but also an important platform for the career development of students and young professionals.
Welcoming the participants, the Rector of West Ukrainian National University Oksana Desyatnyuk said: "We make sure that every graduate is employed. Our cooperation with employers is mutually beneficial, because stakeholders, powerful companies, and government agencies are looking for highly qualified specialists. Dear students - you are the future of Ukraine, and we want you to believe in tomorrow and be sure that our country needs you!"
Mykola Horodetskyi, Director of the Ternopil Regional Employment Centre, said: "Employers need young professionals! And they need you, dear students, too. You can start a business yourself with the help of special programmes for developing your own business. Enrich your knowledge, study and fulfil yourself in your home country!"
The event was attended by Taras Budz, the Chairman of the Bar Council of Ternopil Region: "Dear students, graduates, today you have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the leading firms, institutions and organisations of Ternopil region, ask questions and listen to interesting lectures on employment. Be brave, don't be afraid to try your hand at different areas of interest. Good luck and inspiration!"
The Career Day included interesting seminars, workshops, tutorials, lectures and masterclasses, coaching sessions, quick interviews with employers, individual career consultations from HR specialists, meetings with experts in employment and internship programmes at international companies.
WUNU administration also met with the Employers' Board of West Ukrainian National University.
The Career Day has become an important platform for cooperation between the university and the business community, which helps to increase the competitiveness of students and young professionals in the labour market!
