Cooperation with international universities!
The Rector of West Ukrainian National University Oksana Desyatnyuk, Vice-Rector for Research Mykola Dyvak and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Computer Information Technologies Ihor Yakymenko paid a working visit to the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, the Catholic University in Ružomberok and the University of Constantine the Philosopher in Nitra to build international cooperation, develop projects and organise the 14th International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies, ACIT'2024.
During the meeting between the Rector of WUNU Oksana Desyatnyuk and the Rector of the University of Southern Bohemia Pavel Kozak, a cooperation agreement was signed. The colleagues agreed to implement joint educational, research, socio-cultural projects and developments; hold conferences, symposia, and lectures; and participate in bilateral and multilateral cooperation programmes and academic exchange programmes.
Addressing the partners, prof. Desyatnyuk said: "Cooperation with your university is a new opportunity for the teaching staff and students of our higher education institutions, because by consolidating our efforts we will be able to share experience and knowledge, implement innovative programmes and contribute to the development of modern, progressive education and science!"
During the meeting, the colleagues also discussed the ACIT 2024 conference, which will be held on 19-21 September 2024 in České Budějovice. The organisers of the 14th International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies (ACIT'2024) are: West Ukrainian National University (Ukraine), University of South Bohemia (Czech Republic), Wroclaw University of Economics and Business (Poland), Deggendorf Institute of Technology (Germany), Catholic University in Ružomberok (Slovakia) and Czechoslovakian IEEE\Computer Chapter (Czech Republic). The conference is an international forum for researchers, scientists, professionals and students of engineering in the fields of information technology, computer science, computational intelligence and mathematical modelling, artificial intelligence and cognitive systems, information technology in economics and management, cybersecurity, specialised software and computer systems. The meeting was attended by Dr Libor Dostalek, Co-Chair of the International Programme Committee of the ACIT International Conference.
The delegation of WUNU also met with the Rector of the Catholic University in Ružomberok, Jaroslav Demko, to agree on the implementation of academic mobility and participation in joint research and educational projects. Both sides expressed their interest in developing further cooperation. The meeting was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities Oksana Homotiuk and the Deputy Dean of the FSSH Yurii Shcherbiak.
At the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Rector Oksana Desyatnyuk spoke with Rector Libor Vozar and agreed on an action plan to implement a double degree programme and internships for students and teachers.
