Tetiana Morzhevska, a student of the Negotiation Psychology and Mediation study programme at the Education and Research Institute of Communications of WUNU, has had the opportunity to gain tremendous experience and incredible impressions during her international internship at Saïd Business School of Oxford University (UK).

Thanks to the established cooperation between Oksana Koval, Director of the Education and Research Institute of Communications, and Paul Fisher, Director of the Oxford Programme on Negotiation (OPN), the British side offered a free place for future negotiators to train at the Oxford Programme on Negotiation during the first half of June.

The programme is a biannual event and is considered to be one of the most renowned in the world. Participants come from a wide range of geographical, cultural and organisational backgrounds, typically including CEOs, directors, senior officials, military officers, political and educational leaders, representatives of international organisations, NGOs and senior managers. During their placement, they have the opportunity to analyse complex negotiation situations and practice theory through role-playing and simulations, many of which are written by experienced Oxford lecturers.

Tetiana, who is the only Ukrainian representative, shares her impressions with sincere enthusiasm:

"The Oxford internship is an incredible and very valuable opportunity for me to learn from the best professionals. This time, the total group of participants includes thirty people of nineteen nationalities from all over the world. On the first day, we were divided into small groups and assigned roles to practice simulations.

The main topics we will cover are: preparation for negotiations; systematic and strategic approach to negotiations; understanding decision-making in negotiations, or "how to negotiate rationally in an irrational world"; group decision-making in negotiations; negotiating in multilateral situations; persuasive communication in negotiations; negotiating in a changing environment; conflict, value, perspective and negotiation culture; agreements and signing a deal.

Upon completion of the internship, you will receive a lifetime membership in the Oxford Business Alumni network.

I can't believe I'm actually here! I am sincerely grateful to the administration of the Education and Research Institute of Communications of WUNU for this opportunity!"
